MEARI hosted a discussion on the topic Over Troubled Waters – Water as a Source of Cooperation not Conflict in the Middle East.
The panel consisted of Israeli transboundary water researcher Clive Lipchin, Jordanian sustainability practitioner and Palestinian water expert. They have not been identified for security reasons.
Participants focused on the importance of water being a source of cooperation in the Middle East in the midst of other challenges. The panel was also joined by former Mayor of Tshwane Cillier Brink to give
insights into cooperation around the question of water provision in Hamanskraal.
